smaABC - Monitoring System Agrometeorological

The ABC Group Agrometeorological Monitoring System completes 10 years of operation in June 2014. Throughout this period, associated farmers and ranchers, technical consultants and agricultural and industrial cooperatives of Arapoti (capal), Batavo and Castrolanda received information on regional climatology, agrometeorological monitoring through the more than 50 surface automatic stations, on the forecast of the forecast of the forecast of the forecast of the forecast of the forecast of the forecast of the forecast of the forecast of the forecast of the forecast of the forecast Time with high -resolution models on climate forecast for the next semester and various agrometeorological services such as bulletins and reports.

Through the smaABC website (http://sma.fundacaoabc.org.br), 166,457 page views were recorded in the last 12 months, with an average permanence time on the site of approximately 00: 02: 42h, and 98% of these hits corresponded to the states of Paraná and São Paulo. Faced with such a meteorological (agro) demand, the ABC Foundation decided to make available exclusively to the ABC cooperative associate the SMAABC application for iOS and Android, in partnership with Ensaag LLC.

Below are some features of the smaABC application:

• Visualization of real -time agrometeorological records of the 51 automatic agrometeorological stations belonging to the ABC Foundation;

• Registration of one or more farms through the aid of a map;

• Association of each farm with the nearest Agrometeorological Station;

• Registration of one or more plots belonging to each farm;

• For each field, the user must inform the culture, the soil texture, the planting date and the irrigation is used;

• Depending on this information, the application will update every 60 -minute interval, information such as accumulated precipitation, drought index or water stress, maximum and minimum temperature, degrees accumulated days and occurrence of some extreme weather events from planting to the present time, for each registered field;

• Choice of the days of the week you want to receive notifications/warnings (precipitation accumulated from planting, degrees accumulated days and current drought index) for a particular field;

• Fast access to average temperature time and precipitation for the next 6 hours, or temperature forecast (maximum and minimum), relative humidity, precipitation and wind speed for the next 5 days, for both your farm and the nearest season, using the ETA 5km and 15km regional model.

This application uses the same login and password registered for access to the ABC Foundation portal
