Tranquilien , your assistant Comfort on Board!

Find a seat on a transilian train, even before being on the platform? This is what Tranquilien allows the first mobile application that allows you to know in advance the comfort on board trains in Ile-de-France!

# How does it work?

Tranquilien is a transport application that allows you to easily find trains from the stations of the Transilian network and to display their filling rate in advance!

Find your journey in one click, and the list of corresponding trains is displayed with a comfort indication: green, you will probably be seated, orange you have a chance to sit, and red, you are likely to be standing.

These predictions are based on mathematical models including many layers of data, which are updated in real time.

You can also help improve these predictions directly from the application, by entering your position in the train and the comfort felt!

# FUNCTIONS

- Consult an estimate of the crowds in your Transilian train and each stop on your journey in advance.

- Easily plan your journeys in the Transilian network, with time-realities that indicate delays and cancellations.

- Take part in improving predictions by assessing the occupancy rate of the train in which you are.

- Access information about your favorite journeys directly.

- Give your opinion on the application and suggest improvements.

# Genesis

Developed by SNIPS, an innovation startup in Big Data, and with the support of SNCF Transilien, the Tranquilien application is the realization of an idea for a traveler imagined during the Openapp competition in 2012. It is the first fruit of the open-data approach started by SNCF Transilien at the end of 2011.
