About Solas

About SolasShaders Material Pack. It was originally designed as the successor to Prismarine Shader. Solas is probably the first shader package to successfully achieve ultra-fast and frame rate-friendly color and global lighting in Minecraft. Both are achieved through bloom effects, and while maintaining good visual performance, it consumes almost no performance. Many shader packages with 3D volumetric clouds have a problem with that they leak into enclosed spaces such as caves or mountains. Solas solves this problem by switching cloud shadow checks when a closed space is detected, thus converting the volumetric cloud into volumetric light. Additionally, many shader packages have shadow light leakage and Peter translation issues, but in Solas these issues are all solved.

Unique technology

Solas is one of the first shader packages to achieve ultra-fast per color lighting target in Minecraft. This is achieved by blurring block textures, which consumes little performance while maintaining good visual effects.
