Best Characters Ranked - Eternal Saga

Given how Eternal Saga works and the stats that various units carry on their kits, we will only focus on the Fated Lore rarity units. The others won't be of help to you at all in the long run. Some of these are given to you for free as you progress through the game.

S Tier Characters - Best Units in Eternal Saga

Here are the very best of the Fated Lore. Though this rarity has numerous units, these five will make your team infinitely better in fast clearing of difficult stages.

Master Yi Warrior, Light	+ Super high AoE damage with excellent target prioritization + Focus on crowd control that gives him additional DMG buffs, with retribution damage that drains enemy HP + High own survivability with major HP restoration buffs within the first seconds of the battle, which also gives him ATK boost
Amaterasu Support, Light	+ Healing with massive scaling, Ultimate targets two allies with heals + Crit RES and AoE damage reduction buffs to all allies via strong shield that regenerates often
Chang'E Support, Dark	+ Great health restoration skills, Ultimate targets three allies with heals, with stronger heal for emergency situations + Heal gets stronger as battle progresses, damage reduction buffs to all allies
Netherlord Mage, Dark	+ Swift enemy dispatching with good targeting with own ATK buffs + Inflicts Curse on enemies and buffs self against Cursed targets + Various self-recovery and buffs on target defeat
Zyra Warrior, Dark	+ Dedicated assist buffs for allies, buffing their HP, ATK, and Ultra attack + Excellent crowd control support that knocks back targets, inflicts them with Curse + Also carries minor buffs for self on top of great assist kit

Though better ones do exist, units from this selection still offer a path to quick victory.

Diaochan Mage, Wind	+ Excellent AoE damage output with own buffs to critical attacks and Poison debuff, great survivability + High versatility as a main DPS with extra buffs if she is the highest ATK unit, or buffs for any higher ATK unit
Zephyr Warrior, Wind	+ Deals AoE damage with numerous debuffs to enemies, including Poison and Lifesteal, while also controlling with Knockback + Rare kit that involves Dodge, with multiple damage and survivability buffs
Lina Support, Fire	+ A support that heals on Ultra, instead focusing on buffs for two team DPS, while also inflicting multiple debuffs, including Silence
Kokomi Support, Water	+ An excellent healer with good coverage, inflicts some debuffs to enemies while also cleansing ally debuffs
	+ Heals somewhat dependent on RNG, leaning towards the front row
Artemis Warrior, Water	+ A strong back row DPS who can repel damage taken, steal HP, give self various buffs while debuffing and controlling enemies + Gets stronger the more a battle drags out
Hel Warrior, Dark	+ An assassin-type unit who has higher Rage requirements, but enables super strong buffs for herself to protect her Rage and related skills from debuffs + Great many buffs and debuffs based around Critical attacks, Curse, and even dodging
Draco Tank, Water	+ A dedicated front row tank for DPS units who focus on single-target damage, with buffs and debuffs specifically targeting the single-target niche
Aegis Tank, Light	+ Excellent tank with crowd control with knockback and silence, while also buffing self with various defensive buffs
Dharma Tank, Dark	+ Tanks well and tanks a lot, but doesn't deal a lot of damage, slows down the enemy actions by stealing Rage + Inflicts Curse to targets while also buffing an ally's DPS to amplify their damage to these targets
Susanoo Mage, Light	+ Inflicts numerous enemy debuffs while also buffing himself and the other DPS ally
Sun Wukong Warrior, Light	+ Great targeting prioritization, casting Ultra at the field with most enemies, also great survivability and some buffs for his targets + Has multiple buffs for self and a secondary form
King Yama Mage, Dark	+ Strong AoE mage inflicting Curse and DEF debuffs, while also giving fellow DPS teammates buffs on his first Ultra cast

B Tier Characters

The units in our B tier are serviceable, but you should probably consider replacing them if you obtain someone from the tiers above.

Akali Warrior, Wind	+ Interesting crowd control that lets her attack the enemies from the back, but it leaves her open to crowd control, debuffs target healing and inflicts poison
Hera Support, Fire	+ Dedicated front row healer, with revival for the highest ATK character on the team
Phoenicia Mage, Fire	+ Mage that specialises in attacking low HP enemies, inflicts minor debuffs
Lu Bu Warrior, Fire	+ A tank-like warrior that has self-recovery abilities, inflicts Burn, and a secondary form that grants him additional buffs
Jaina Mage, Water	+ Decent AoE damage with a chance to inflict freeze and armor break to targets, minor self-buffs
Neith Support, Light	+ A buffer and a healer dedicated to the main DPS of the team, lesser heals to the most damaged team members

C Tier Characters

C-tier category contains all the characters that have spectacularly low stats compared to others of Fated Lore, or are just vastly outclassed by others. Some of these are given to you for free just for completing certain stages, but are generally not great.

• Click your account icon in the upper left corner
• Click on the settings menu on the right
• Press Switch Account in the pop-up menu
• Confirm you want to exit the game and start anew
• Once you're happy with the starter, don't forget to bind your account to get extra rewards!

Unfortunately, the free units that Eternal Saga developers give out aren't that great and will only carry you for so long should you choose to build them, so opting to get a better unit from gacha is a must.
